WHAT IS HATCH?
‘’Higher Attainment through Cross-Border Hubs” is an EU INTERREG lVA funded initiative designed to support and develop entrepreneurship and employment in the Border Region.
The project was developed by Cavan County Enterprise Board and will engage the expertise of Cavan Innovation & Technology Centre, as programme delivery lead in collaboration with the Business Institute of University of Ulster and South West College, in delivering targeted, accredited courses designed to meet the needs of Construction & Engineering Sectors, Foreign Nationals and Female Entrepreneurs.
WHAT COURSES ARE AVAILABLE & WHO CAN APPLY?
Course places will be open to persons in employment or unemployment who work in or have worked in the following sectors and can benefit from the suite of education and supporting networking programmes. Courses are part-time block release, commencing in Winter 2013/2014 with the following:
Construction & EngineeringSectors
- Renewable Energy Applications, South West College Accredited
- Computer Aided Design (BIM), NOCN Level 4 Accredited, South West College
- Digital Surveying), NOCN Level 4 Accredited, South West College

HOW MUCH WILL THE COURSE COST?
All courses are 100% funded for eligible participants from from areas covered by the following County Councils: Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Armagh City & District Council, Cookstown District Council, Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council, Fermanagh District Council and Omagh District Council. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
(HATCH has been part-financedby the EU’s INTERREG lVA Programme, managed by the Special European Union Programmes Body – SEUPB).
WHERE WILL THE COURSES TAKE PLACE?
Courses will take place at a number of venues including South West College Omagh, Enniskillen and Cavan Innovation & Technology Centre unless otherwise specified.
WHAT DO I DO IF I AM INTERESTED?
Interested persons are asked to complete the attached Training Needs Analysis and forward it to Hatchadmissions at Cavan Innovation & Technology Centre.
